British punk band U.K. Subs play An Club in Exarchia, their first Athens show in 26 years. The group still runs on Charlie Harper, the frontman widely called the godfather of British punk, now 82, alongside Alvin Gibbs on bass, Steve Straughan on guitar and Stefan Häublein on drums. Between 1979 and 1981 they landed three UK Top-30 singles, Stranglehold and Warhead among them, plus one UK Top-10 album, Crash Course. The 2027 return also marks their fiftieth year, so expect the old catalogue from the band that built it.
