About Athens Events

Athens Events began in 2011, born from a love of music and the particular magic found in these encounters.

From the beginning, its purpose has been simple to describe, even if difficult to achieve: to help people navigate Athens through what is happening around them. That purpose still guides us today.

Athens is constantly in motion. Concerts, parties, performances, exhibitions, festivals and gatherings take place across the city and the wider Attica region. Yet seeing that activity as a whole, and finding the events that speak to you, can be surprisingly difficult. Athens Events exists to bring this landscape into one place and make it easier to explore.

Building a useful picture of an entire city is a vast and continuing undertaking. Athens does not fit neatly into one calendar, district, audience or category. Our ambition is to make more of it visible, from the centre of the city to its surrounding neighbourhoods and regions, so people can discover events without already knowing where to look.

Athens Events is an event discovery platform. It does not organize events or resell tickets. Its role is to connect people with what is happening and direct them towards the relevant event, venue, organizer or official ticket provider.

Our ambition goes beyond the calendar. Athens Events is growing into a living database of the events, artists, venues and cultural spaces that shape the city. A place where the cultural life of Athens becomes easier to see, understand and experience.
