Two founding names of extreme metal share one Athens stage. MAYHEM, from Norway, helped shape black metal from 1984 onward and have never lived off the myth: their newest album, Liturgy Of Death, arrived in 2026, with Attila Csihar, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer still at the core. UNLEASHED, from Sweden, have built Swedish death metal since 1989 and keep extending their Odalheim story on 2025's Fire Upon Your Lands. This Death Over Europe Part II date is the only time the two play Greece together, at Gagarin 205. Both bands are still writing, not reminiscing.
