Plutus 2026 Tour

Aristophanes' 'Plutus' returns to the stage this summer in a major theatrical production starring Markos Seferlis. This contemporary, satirical take on the ancient comedy remains strikingly relevant today. The work explores timeless questions: who truly deserves wealth, and why do honest people struggle while opportunists prosper? Through disruptive humor, cutting satire, music, dance and contemporary references, Seferlis encounters Aristophanes in a performance offering laughter, spectacle and truths that sting. Seferlis transforms the ancient poet's world into a mirror of today's society, where money, power, hypocrisy and human greed take centre stage. A major summer theatrical event for the whole family that brings Aristophanes closer to today's audiences with laughter, rhythm and theatrical magic.
