Plutus 2026 Tour

Aristophanes' timeless 'Plutus' makes a grand theatrical return this summer, starring Markos Seferlis in a contemporary, satirical take on the classical comedy. Through irreverent humor, biting satire, music, dance, and modern references, this production asks enduring questions: who truly deserves wealth? Why do honest people struggle while cunning ones thrive? What would happen if Plutus regained his sight and everyone became rich? Seferlis transforms the ancient poet's world into a mirror of today's society, where money, power, hypocrisy, and human greed take center stage. A major summer theatrical event for families, this production aims to bring Aristophanes closer to contemporary audiences with laughter, energy, and theatrical magic.
