Valentini Giannopoulou's MyCenae adapts the ancient myth of the Atrides into a powerful and contemporary dance-theater work. The production, presented at Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά, brings the legendary narrative to the stage through choreographic movement and embodied performance. Giannopoulou's choreography transforms ancient dramatic material and classical mythological content into a distinctive contemporary dance-theater experience. The work presents the Atreid family story through contemporary movement language and artistic practice. Through its choreographic language, the production translates classical mythology into embodied movement-based performance. The piece forms a unique artistic work centered on this timeless narrative of the Atrides.
