Ανεξάρτητα Κράτη - Καλοκαιρινή περιοδεία

Ανεξάρτητα Κράτη is a journalistic drama by Antonis Tsiotsiopoulos and Giorgos Paloumpis, inspired by the true story of Dr. Vasilis Tsirones during Greece's early post-dictatorship period. The production has secured substantial critical acclaim and established itself as a significant work of contemporary Greek dramatic writing. Set within newspaper offices following the doctor's death, the narrative follows fictional journalist Maria Theofilu investigating the circumstances of his death. The play explores themes of truth-seeking and women's agency in a male-dominated professional environment. The work delivers sharp political critique, examining the entanglement of media and state power in Greece. Through rapid pacing, raw realism and compelling performances, it probes institutional constraint against individual liberty.
