Bio

Mind Enterprises are an Italian electronic music duo formed around the creative vision of Turin-born producer Andrea Tirone, later joined by musician and performer Roberto Conigliaro. The project combines vintage synthesizers, elastic basslines and playful visual presentation with a contemporary reinterpretation of Italo disco, funk, electro and European dance music. Tirone launched Mind Enterprises in 2012 after relocating from Turin to London. The project’s earliest releases, including the debut single “Summer War,” explored a more introspective form of electronic pop shaped by analogue synthesis, post-punk and the East London club scene. Early singles such as “My Girl,” “Chapita” and “Idealistic” established his talent for combining unusual rhythmic patterns with direct melodic songwriting. Mind Enterprises released the debut album Idealist through Because Music in 2016. The record moved between synthpop, indie electronic music, house and experimental pop, reflecting Tirone’s growing collection of vintage drum machines and synthesizers. Rather than reproducing one specific period, he treated old electronic instruments as an adaptable palette for modern production. After leaving London and relocating to Gran Canaria, Tirone began moving the project more decisively toward Italo disco and Mediterranean dance music. During this period, he met Roberto Conigliaro, a classically trained musician whose bass playing, keyboard work and theatrical presence gradually became central to the live identity of Mind Enterprises. The project’s sound was transformed through releases such as “Monogamy,” “Ballare,” “Panorama” and “Idol.” These tracks combined fast disco basslines, hypnotic electronic percussion and cosmic synthesizer melodies with an openly playful affection for Italian popular culture. Their live performances developed into highly stylised shows featuring vintage sportswear, synchronised movement, analogue instruments and deliberately exaggerated masculine characters. Mind Enterprises reached a broader audience with “The Clapping Song,” whose rhythmic hook later became especially visible through a remix by French producer Kungs. Further releases including “Find You,” “Up & Down (Don’t Fall in Love with Me),” “Human Dance” and “Americano” expanded their mixture of Italo disco, funk, house and accessible dance-pop. The duo achieved viral international recognition during 2025 through short videos showing Tirone and Conigliaro performing electronic music in relaxed Mediterranean settings. Their vintage clothing, cigarettes, deadpan expressions and glasses of Campari became part of a humorous online image associated with Italian leisure, summer culture and an escape from overproduced digital life. In 2026, Mind Enterprises released Negroni Love, an album that developed their retro electronic world through Italo disco, Eurodance, funk and early electro influences. Despite the comic elements of their public identity, the duo’s music is grounded in detailed analogue production, strong musicianship and an extensive knowledge of European dance records from the 1970s through the 1990s. Mind Enterprises now operate as both a musical act and a complete visual universe. Their work celebrates the artificial glamour, eccentric technology and irresistible rhythms of vintage Italian dance music while presenting them with enough humour and modern energy to connect with a new international audience.
