Maria Papidaki

Maria Papidaki is a Greek radio producer and DJ known through her longstanding association with Best Radio 92.6, one of Athens’ established electronic and alternative music stations. Her work moves between radio broadcasting, curated music programming and live DJ performances across clubs, festivals and summer venues throughout Greece. Through her radio work, Papidaki has developed a broad musical identity that is not restricted to a single narrow electronic style. Her selections draw from house, electronica, indie dance, downtempo and melodic club music, with an emphasis on atmosphere, rhythm and accessible but carefully curated transitions. Alongside her broadcasting career, she has appeared regularly behind the decks at clubs, beach venues and cultural events. Her DJ sets are shaped by the same selector-driven approach as her radio programmes, moving between electronic genres according to the setting rather than following a rigid production identity. Papidaki has performed at events across Athens and other parts of Greece, including appearances connected with Bolivar Beach Club, BOO! Athens and seasonal resort and beach events. These performances have placed her alongside both Greek resident DJs and international electronic artists. Unlike producers whose careers are primarily defined by original releases, Papidaki’s identity is centred on musical selection, radio presentation and live DJ performance. Her work reflects the role of the radio DJ as a curator, introducing audiences to new music while adapting her selections to club environments and open-air events. Her continued presence on Greek radio and the domestic electronic music circuit has made her a recognisable figure among listeners familiar with Athens’ alternative and dance music culture.
