Lunar is a Greek rapper from Athens and one of the emerging voices of the country’s younger hip-hop generation. Born in 2003, she began becoming involved in music at sixteen, using rap as a direct means of processing personal experience, emotional pressure and the unstable transition from adolescence into adult life.
Before concentrating fully on music, boxing occupied an important part of her life. The discipline, physical intensity and sense of controlled confrontation associated with the sport carried into her approach as a performer, where restrained delivery can quickly shift into sharper and more aggressive passages.
Her first substantial project, Salto Mortale, was released in 2022. The EP’s title reflected the risk involved in moving from boxing towards music, while tracks such as White Lies introduced an autobiographical style concerned with emotional defence, difficult memories and the contradictions between outward strength and internal vulnerability. A live EP recorded for Dozen Sessions followed during the same period.
Lunar continued developing her sound through singles including Comfort Zone, TBH, Euphoria, Night Mode and Cheesy Freestyle. These releases placed her between alternative hip-hop, trap and drill, combining direct rap performances with darker melodies, unusual samples and production that could move from sparse and intimate to forceful and confrontational.
Her debut studio album, ALL ABOUT IMAGE, was released in May 2025. Produced across nine tracks by Rayu, Mhsalpos, Metronome, SiMKO and Yuri, with scratches by DJ Silkroad, the record examined identity in a culture increasingly organised around screens, profiles, photographs and carefully edited public personas.
Rather than discussing image only as appearance or status, the album approached it as a form of memory. Messages, photographs and digital traces become evidence of relationships and moments that may no longer exist outside a device. This perspective allowed Lunar to connect personal loss and introspection with a broader account of how her generation experiences intimacy, self-presentation and remembrance.
Tracks including ZOOM, No Pulse and Success strengthened the album’s balance between raw lyricism and modern urban production. She followed the record with Takeback in late 2025 and Step By Step, a 2026 collaboration with producer Dof Twogee, continuing to widen her sound beyond the first album’s framework.
Lunar has also developed her reputation through festival and support appearances, gradually moving from smaller underground stages towards major Greek rap lineups. Her scheduled appearance at Off The Hook Festival 2026 alongside Skepta, TOQUEL, Ethismos, VLOSPA and Gxhan places her among the domestic artists representing the current generation of Greek rap on one of its largest stages.
Although her catalogue is still at an early stage, Lunar has already established a coherent artistic identity. Her music treats vulnerability without softness, aggression without empty posturing and digital culture without reducing it to fashionable imagery. That combination gives her a recognisable position within contemporary Greek hip-hop and considerably more substance than the usual “promising new rapper” sludge pasted into festival programmes.
