Breacz

Breacz is the DJ alias of Athens-based selector Alexandros Kosmatos, a member of Urban Danja and Inflex and a resident of Ath Dnb Unity. His work is centred on Drum & Bass but extends into deep dubstep and slower, low-frequency bass music. Breacz was already appearing in Urban Danja programming by 2017, when he was introduced as an emerging Inflex DJ and opened the Drum & Bass LAB event with a deep-dubstep set. As his profile developed, his selections increasingly covered the wider Drum & Bass spectrum, particularly deep material, rollers, techstep and neurofunk. Alongside Insom, Breacz became one of the resident artists behind Ath Dnb Unity, a recurring Athens event series responsible for bringing international Drum & Bass acts into direct contact with the local scene. Through those events he has performed on line-ups featuring Cause 4 Concern, Black Sun Empire, Disphonia, Exept, Konquest and other established names, while continuing to appear at smaller community sessions, radio broadcasts and Urban Danja events. Breacz’s role is currently documented primarily through DJ work, residencies and event organisation rather than a formal solo discography. His continued presence across Urban Danja, Inflex and Ath Dnb Unity makes him one of the connecting figures between several important branches of Athens’ modern Drum & Bass community.
