The Rumjacks Live in Athens

The Rumjacks trace their roots to the Irish community of Sydney and have spent six albums fusing punk energy with traditional Irish folk. They have toured with Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, played Hellfest and Wacken, and turned up twice at Street Mode, so Greece is familiar ground. 'An Irish Pub Song' has passed 100 million YouTube views, the track that made their name. At Kyttaro they bring Frank Panx and Saltadoroi as special guests, with resident DJs on after-show tunes. The band's reputation rests on its live shows, which is the reason to be in the room.

City Kids & Dirty Deals: The Motörhead & AC/DC Tribute

Two of Greece's most respected tribute acts share the Kyttaro stage for one night built on Motörhead and AC/DC. City Kids, the Athens Motörhead tribute running since 2017, arrive endorsed by the official Motörheadbangers fan club and founding drummer Lucas Fox, and their set leans toward Orgasmatron for its fortieth anniversary. Dirty Deals take the AC/DC half, marking fifty years of High Voltage before reaching into the rest of the catalogue. The bill runs about three hours, and both bands aim for the records played faithfully and loud.

Μητέρα Φάλαινα Τυφλή Live στο Κύτταρο: 20 Χρόνια Αναδύσεις

Μητέρα Φάλαινα Τυφλή, whose name translates to Blind Mother Whale, is a large Greek ensemble that has spent nearly twenty years playing electroacoustic folk-soul-rock built on narrative songs and symphonic arrangements. This anniversary show is their first proper live appearance in close to a decade, back at the historic Kyttaro. Older and newer members share the stage across a wide instrumental spread: trumpets, trombones, saxophones, violins and cellos over the rock backbone of bass, guitar and drums. A rotating cast of guests joins them for the band's own songs and a few covers.

Wizards Of Ozz vol.4: Rhoads of Revelation (Ozzy Osbourne Tribute)

Wizards Of Ozz returns for a fourth year, and the setup is unchanged: tribute act Rhoads Of Revelation recruit a rotating lineup of Greek heavy and rock musicians to play the Ozzy Osbourne catalogue at Kyttaro. The set spans both sides of his career, the Black Sabbath records and the solo years, with particular emphasis on the early solo period that Randy Rhoads shaped. It is pitched as a singalong rather than a reverent recital, choruses handled by the whole room. If you were raised on these riffs, you already know whether you are going.

Buzzcocks live in Athens: 50th anniversary, with the STRESS

Buzzcocks helped shape British punk out of Manchester in 1976, fusing garage-rock scrappiness with fast, catchy melodies on records like Singles Going Steady. Founder Pete Shelley died in 2018; guitarist Steve Diggle took over vocals and still leads the band, whose recent album Attitude Adjustment lends this 50th-anniversary tour its name. They headline KYTTARO, a Radikal Events production. Opening are the STRESS, Athens punk veterans who formed in 1981 and play rarely: two original members return with three newcomers to run through their LP and the Athens Burning EPs.

Βασίλης Ράλλης Live @ Κύτταρο

Vasilis Rallis is an independent Greek singer-songwriter with seven albums, two EPs and a stack of singles behind him, working somewhere between indie, alternative, rock and new wave. He arrives at Kyttaro with a full band after a summer of touring and dates abroad, and he's calling this his first and biggest show of the year. The lineup runs deep: voice, drums, percussion, bass, electric guitar, winds, violin and keys all on stage. Before the set, Vasilis Migoulis flies in from Hamburg for a DJ warm-up. Go for the songs and the full band behind them.

YOB w/ Automaton live @ Kyttaro

YOB returns to Kyttaro for an exclusive European headline performance, their first Athens appearance in eight years. The Oregon doom metal ensemble is known for expansive compositions merging heavy sonic textures with spiritual inquiry. Automaton opens the evening, presenting material from 'Labyrinth,' their recently completed full-length album inspired by ancient Greek mythology. The concert represents an exclusive moment, as this is YOB's sole European headline performance during this touring cycle. Athens remains central to both bands' artistic trajectory and community engagement.

Tuber: Live Recording Project

Tuber, the instrumental rock band out of Serres, are doing something backwards. Their new album is finished but unrecorded, and nobody has heard it. At Kyttaro they play it live from first note to last, once, before they ever step into a studio. The night gets taped for the album's Limited Deluxe Edition, so the crowd ends up on the record. A full set drawn from their back catalogue, debut EP through Joyful Science, follows. Expect the heavy riffs and hypnotic grooves that have carried them since 2010.

Saints & Sinners and Firefly Live at Kyttaro

Saints & Sinners, the Whitesnake tribute band, returns to Kyttaro for their annual autumn Rock Overdose appearance, this time joined by Firefly, a new Uriah Heep tribute project. Together, the two tribute bands present an ultimate live tribute night honoring hard rock maestros Jon Lord and Ken Hensley. The program features songs drawn from Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Uriah Heep, and Blackfoot. These veteran musicians have consistently delivered memorable evenings at Kyttaro. The gathering reunites the devoted hard rock community that frequents the venue. An extended evening of classic hard rock compositions awaits, performed by musicians who understand these songs intimately.

Phantom Spell (ES) live in Athens

Following their appearances at Up The Hammers Festival, Spanish quartet Phantom Spell returns to Greece for a headline show. Among contemporary metal's most compelling acts, they marry traditional heavy metal with bold 1970s prog influences, drawing inspiration from Wishbone Ash, Camel and Uriah Heep. Their vintage aesthetic, memorable melodies and fresh old-school sensibility have earned them recognition as rising NWOTHM prospects. Led by Kyle McNeill, known from Seven Sisters, the band has released two albums: "Immortal's Requiem" and 2025's "Heather & Hearth", the latter deepening their prog and folk dimensions. The ensemble has gained traction within underground circles through selective festival appearances. Their live performances transform recorded material through rich orchestration and carefully crafted arrangements that enhance every composition.

Riot V: 50th Anniversary with Angelo Perlepes Mystery

Riot V mark 50 years of American heavy metal with a setlist built for the occasion: classic anthems and favourites drawn from across the band's discography. The Athens night at Kyttaro is one stop on a run that also reaches Patras, Thessaloniki and Nicosia. Support comes from Angelo Perlepes Mystery, the long-running band led by Angelo Perlepes, the guitarist Greek fans have dubbed the local Malmsteen. Demons Gate Productions puts on the show. For anyone who has followed the Riot name across its eras, this is the one to catch.

Combichrist Live in Greece

Combichrist is Andy LaPlegua's industrial and electro project, started after he shelved Icon of Coil in 2003. The 2005 album Everybody Hates You broke it wide, and more followed: What the Fuck Is Wrong with You People, Today We Are All Demons, up to this year's The Venom In The Mouth Of God. A 2010 tour with Rammstein passed through Greece. This is the band's first Athens show in roughly a decade. The Kyttaro set is billed as old school, focused on the early Everybody Hates You years. Presale runs through Monsterville, Le Disque Noir, Death Disco and Nephilim.

Jamoan: 30 χρόνια

Jamoan is Akis Theotokatos, the guitarist behind Active Member and Crystal Productions from 1996 to 2013 and later part of La Bruja Muerta with B.D. Foxmoor. This Kyttaro show marks 30 years of that work. His solo records, Apeitheia, I Ptosi ton Theon and Eironeia, fold rock, low bap, hip hop, jazz and funk into sociopolitical writing, and the set reaches back across all of it while introducing his new album, The soundtrack of an imaginary story. A full band backs him, with guests including Michalis Skarakis of Magic De Spell, Weirdo and Savveria Margiola.

Acid Death have anchored Greek extreme metal since 1989, and this Kyttaro night doubles as their first official live album: recorded on the spot from a set that reaches across all eight of their records. It also marks 37 years of a band that turned progressive death metal into a Greek staple. Kikabass Productions fills out the bill: Null'o'zero and their Heavy/Power/Thrash, the death, black and thrash of Athens' Karma Violens, going since 2002, and Gunsmith, an Athens death metal crew currently tracking their debut EP. Four bands, one recording.

UP THE HAMMERS FESTIVAL XXI ~ Aftermath

The aftermath of last year's festival returns with international heavy metal lineup. Argus from Pennsylvania bring epic doom and classic heavy metal, drawing from Greek mythology for their name. Argentina's FEANOR reunites with longtime collaborator Gus Acosta, assembling a powerful lineup featuring Mike Stark on vocals, E.V. Martel (ex-Manowar) and Thilo Herrmann (ex-Running Wild, Grave Digger) on guitars, and Emiliano Wachs on drums. This rare live appearance will be complemented by Greece's Black Soul Horde, delivering dark and majestic heavy metal forged from their homeland. Brazil's Creatures bring razor-sharp riffs and high-energy performance, solidifying this celebration of the genre. Additional bands will be announced.
