Dutch band Pestilence have played death metal for four decades, with founding member Patrick Mameli still on songwriting, guitar and vocals. Their tenth album, Portals, and the European tour behind it bring them to Kyttaro. This is the Athens leg of a two-city run, and promoter Demons Gate fills out the bill with two Greek names: Dead Congregation, whose dark, ritualistic death metal has built genuine cult standing abroad, and Abyssus, opening with old-school material off Death Revival and Under Siege. A small deathfest for the initiated and the curious alike.
