Alcestis

Alcestis is presented as part of the 52nd Aeschylia Festival, organized by the Municipality of Eleusis since 1975. The festival runs from 30 August to 3 October 2026, featuring theatrical performances, concerts of various musical genres, art exhibitions and film screenings. Hosted at the IRIS venue on Eleusis seafront, the production unfolds in a transformed former factory now serving as a modern cultural space. The venue preserves interwar industrial architecture through characteristic structures including a chimney and historic factory buildings designated as protected monuments. These buildings exemplify industrial design from the interwar period. The festival continues to bring artistic programming to Western Attica.
