Βιογραφικό

VLOSPA is a Greek–French rapper and songwriter born in Nice, France, to a French mother and Greek father. Raised between France and Greece, including extended periods in Nice and Thessaloniki, he developed within two different but closely connected hip-hop cultures. He began recording his earliest material in France, where the technical emphasis, street realism and visual sophistication of French rap became central influences on his artistic identity. His ability to perform naturally in both Greek and French quickly distinguished him within the Greek rap scene. Rather than using French merely as an occasional stylistic flourish, VLOSPA built entire verses and songs around the movement between the two languages, creating a bilingual sound that reflected his upbringing. His delivery combined controlled flows and detailed rhyme patterns with a composed visual persona that contrasted street-oriented writing with a sense of elegance and restraint. After early singles and the project Veni Vidi Votsi, VLOSPA released his first major personal album, Mektoub, in 2020. The record established the central vocabulary of his music: fate, ambition, loyalty, urban survival and the negotiation between different cultural identities. That same year, he launched the Big Moves series, an annual sequence of tracks and one-shot visual performances that became a recurring fixture of his catalogue. Mektoub 2 followed in 2023, broadening his sound through collaborations, more expansive production and links with both the Greek and international rap scenes. The same period included POTE, recorded with Thessaloniki rapper Sadam, British drill artist V9 and Kareem Kalokoh. With its multilingual performances and drill-influenced rhythm, the track demonstrated how comfortably VLOSPA could connect Greek rap to styles developing outside the country. In 2024, he released the seven-track Inside Story EP, featuring production from OGE, Solid, X15 Beats, Sin Laurent and Rigas Beats. Every track from the project entered Spotify Greece’s Weekly Top 50, while Na Vreksi was subsequently presented through A COLORS SHOW. The appearance placed an entirely Greek-language performance before one of the world’s most recognisable online music platforms and became an important international showcase for contemporary Greek rap. Beyond his own releases, VLOSPA contributed as a composer to Marina Satti’s ZARI, Greece’s entry in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. His role reflected a wider creative identity extending beyond performance into songwriting and the construction of contemporary Greek urban-pop music. In 2025, VLOSPA and producer Dof Twogee released their first full collaborative album, Paidia Tou Feggariou. The ten-track record brought together different generations and areas of Greek music through appearances by LEX, Bloody Hawk, Mikros Kleftis, Marina Satti and guitarist Gus G. The album combined Dof Twogee’s detailed, sample-conscious production with VLOSPA’s street writing, bilingual instincts and increasingly reflective perspective. VLOSPA’s importance within modern Greek rap lies partly in his position between scenes. His music connects Thessaloniki and Nice, Greek and French language, underground technique and mainstream reach. Rather than treating these contrasts as separate identities, he has made their coexistence the defining feature of his work.
