Kostas Zikos is a Greek DJ, radio producer and music curator with a career spanning commercial radio, nightlife, television, fashion and large-scale entertainment events. Born in Thessaloniki in 1964, he later studied Business Administration with a specialisation in marketing at the Athens University of Economics and Business.
He began broadcasting on TOP FM before joining KLIK FM, one of the most influential Greek music and lifestyle radio stations of the 1990s. Zikos remained with KLIK FM for eleven years and subsequently spent seven years at Nitro Radio, developing a recognisable on-air identity built around international pop, rock, dance music and contemporary club culture.
He later joined Athens DeeJay 95.2, where he became one of the station’s established daily presenters. He has also been associated with Rock FM 96.9, reflecting the broad musical range of his radio work. Rather than concentrating on a single narrowly defined genre, his programmes combine accessible international music, radio favourites and selections drawn from several decades of popular and club-oriented music.
Alongside broadcasting, Zikos has maintained a long career as a club DJ. He has worked as a resident at prominent Athens venues including No Name, Alarm, Kalua, Ergostasio, Aerodromio, Amfitheatro, Privilege and Venue. He has also appeared as a guest DJ at clubs and events throughout Greece, as well as in the Netherlands and Bali.
His DJ appearances have placed him alongside artists including Soul II Soul, Buddha-Bar DJ Ravin, Sandy Rivera and Terry Lee Brown Jr. His sets generally favour an eclectic, audience-focused mixture of dance, house, disco, pop, rock and familiar club records rather than one rigid underground style.
Zikos has also provided music supervision for television programmes, series, entertainment shows and theatrical productions. His work has extended into fashion events, where he has curated soundtracks for runway shows and parties, including projects connected with designer and television personality Lakis Gavalas.
Beyond performance and broadcasting, he has worked in event organisation, communications, sponsorships and creative development. His professional involvement has included fashion shows, product launches, concerts and branded events, as well as collaboration on Bryan Ferry’s 2019 concert at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Through his combined work in radio, clubs and event production, Kostas Zikos has remained a long-standing figure within Athens’ music and nightlife culture, known primarily for his experience as a selector, broadcaster and versatile live DJ.
