Κατερίνα Κακοσαίου

Katerina Kakosaiou is a Greek singer working between contemporary laiko and pop. The daughter of singer Giannis Ploutarchos, she grew up close to the recording and live-music world but initially followed an academic path, studying biology and completing postgraduate work connected with the pharmaceutical field. After deciding to pursue music professionally, Kakosaiou made her official recording debut in 2022 with “Τι Φταις Κι Εσύ”, written and composed by her father. The release introduced her as a solo performer rather than simply as a member of a musical family. She followed with songs including “Μου Λείπεις”, developing a repertoire centred on melodic contemporary laiko, pop production and emotionally direct lyrics. Her recordings have been accompanied by regular club and concert appearances, allowing the project to develop onstage alongside its studio releases. Kakosaiou has also appeared in programmes with Giannis Ploutarchos and other established laiko singers. Those shared stages connect her work to the mainstream Greek live tradition while her own releases and public identity continue to define a separate catalogue.
