Masood Boomgaard: Self-Help Singh Live

Masood Boomgaard has spent a decade doing stand-up in New York, London and Dubai. His best-known creation is Self-Help Singh, a self-styled de-motivational speaker who parodies the self-help and motivational-seminar industry. The character, Boomgaard says, arrived as a vision after he slipped and hit his head sprinting to the bathroom, casualty of a bad lamb vindaloo. Singh's deadpan, contrarian advice has since pulled in millions of views online. The live version brings that act to ARCH Club in Tavros: satire for anyone who is tired of being told to become their best self.
